Classical trained Pakistani singers and “Ustaad” – Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali khan, will soon be joining Indian singer Richa Sharma at a musical event here in Dubai.
The event titled as Eid-e-Milan is to be held on September 9 in Dubai, organisers have announced. The venue has been confirmed as Dubai World Trade Hotel and the the evening will be hosted by Bollywood actress Tisca Chopra. (more…)
Since a few fans of Atif Aslam are angry enough on us for making a humorous gossip post on him (these are some poor souls who try to act like the ‘biggest fan’ and ‘most loyal’ to the celebrity than anyone), and they are endangering ours and their own security unintentionally, Ithought to normalize the situation again and writing a ‘goochee-go’ all good post for all the ‘Aadeez’ out there. Since the news is out about Coke Studio India, I have been asked so many questions by my friends and fans about this Indian version, to which I am also very curious about and looking forward to. So just after a little effort I managed to get some more details on Coke Studio India.

Islamabad – Dec 30, 2010: In their successful bid to pay tribute to the brave Pakistanis, the two music maestros Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan have jointly sung a song ‘Imtehan Hai Imtehan’ that has been an instant success on the internet. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan & Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan have collaborated for a song of an upcoming Pakistani project. This is the first time probably that we are hearing voices of both maestros in one song. From time to time, the both musicians(magicians) are considered and compared as a Rival for each other, due to same genre they are covering. But this song called, “Imtehan hai imtehan”, have broken the barriers between them and both great classical singers are United for the Cause.
The duet is actually a tribute song for the people and army who fought in Swat, Pakistan.
