As part of India & Pakistan’s 50 Years of Independence celebrations, Vital Signs performed live for the BBC at The Aston Villa Leisure Centre, Birmingham. Update: There has been rumors spreading like fire that ROCKSTATION is not happening and the noted musicians are NOT COMING. The fire ignited after a status that was put by Faraz Anwar on his page, the official event page has now been spammed with negative reviews even without any confirtmation. All random guys are saying random things, and organizers are not on page, since they are on ground.

We just contacted the main organizers and we are told that there were some payment issues, and finally its released. Faraz Anwar will be paid out today evening, where as Mekaal has already reached to Karachi.The sound systems and lights are all up – and the Band Noori is also in Carlton Hotel (venue where the concert is happening).

We also talked to Tanseer Dar of Karavan and he said their half payment is done, and half will be paid out before going LIVE on stage.

So guys, have some patience, things are going fine. Don’t let the rumors spread, as indeed, only you will miss a great rock performance tonight.

The most hyped Rock Station is finally happening day after tomorrow – Now the line up has two more Guitar Maestros who are also featuring in Coke Studio this time – Experience the LIVE battle between Faraz Anwar and Mekaal Hasan in Karachi. 25^th March is the date that will be remembered for the years to come, as the day witnessed all the Major Music Sensations of Pakistan at one platform. Today Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, Atif Aslam, Saeen Zahoor, all performed side by side at the Exclusive Standard Chartered Priority Event that was held today at Mohatta Palace, Karachi.

Let me take you back to the first season of Coke Studio. Not many bigger names were there except Strings, Ali Azmat and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. There was a new band that performed a ‘Single’ at the very first season of Coke Studio. The track name was ‘Paheliyan’ by the band MAUJ and it was the band of OMRAN SHAFIQUE , who later got some huge applause and fame as a house band member of Coke Studio. And now he is very much renowned all over Pakistan for his Guitar Playing Skills and UTH RECORDS. Right?

There has been only one drummer in the house band members of the Coke Studio. The name is quite famous and the guy is also so hilarious (anyone can say that after watching him in UTH Records). (more…)
