We first reported on 4th December that Atif Aslam will be seen in an Indian Reality TV show. Little did we know that when the things would fold down, the show will not remain for “Indian Audience” only and transform into a joint production of two known hostile nations.

As new reports suggest, GEO TV in Pakistan will present this grand musical competition SUR KSHETRA, jointly with Sahara TV of India.

Atif Aslam and Himesh Reshammiya will be the captains for the team of Pakistan and India respectively. Both team will have an equal number of young talented singers who will compete in the show for the grand title. The show which is scheduled to be on-air soon will be shot in Dubai. It has also been confirmed now that Abida Perveen, Runa Laila and Asha Bhosle will judge this sub-continent’s grand musical event. Shaan Shahid, often called with his screen name “Shaan” is one of those actors who revived the film industry by giving tremendous hits. Now, the news is that famous actor Shaan had signed a deal with popular TV channel Geo.

Well! If we consider the ongoing phase, we shall know that movies are being released frequently. More and more new actors are taking the place of our old actors. But still, to some extent, people like industry’s old charming actors.  The deal could be a movie, a drama, or a show. Whatever it is, if Shaan will take part, then the deal will go best. GEO TV Network – Pakistan’s biggest TV network with huge viewership – is under trouble these days and two of its channels GEO Super and Aag TV has been banned in Pakistan.

Just after the end of World Cup, Geo administration terminated its Sports Channel transmission and their GEO news channel started giving news like their Channel had been banned by PEMRA in Pakistan. However, that was not true as the channel could be watched but with a ‘Cross’ on GEO Super’s Logo. (more…)

Our Wonder boy who had been dissapeared from the music scene for sometime is NOW BACK with a Brand new song.  Yes, Ahmed Jahanzaib has  sung an OST track for a GEO TV’s newly launched Drama Serial ‘Khuda aur Mohabbat’ featuring Imran Abbas, Salman Shahid, Saadia Khan and various other actors. The Drama is based on Hashim Nadeem’s famous Novel ‘Khuda aur Mohabbat’.

Ahmed Jahanzaib has been singing since he was four years old. The ‘Wonder Boy’ is a title given to him by Gulf’s Khaleej Times. He released his debut track ‘Ik Baar Kaho’ for a Drama Serial ‘Laila Majnoo’ in which he also acted as a lead actor. His debut album ‘Parastish’ was launched in 2003 which earned him huge respect among serious music listeners. Ahmed also did an OST track for Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Ke Liye. Since then he was out of scene , he tried his luck in India with a new album but unfortunately it couldn’t attract the masses.

LG Awaaz Banaey Star – Students Singing Competition’, which will be aired on GEO shortly on 31st May 2011. This first ever singing competition will be produced, with focus on leading educational institutions from major cities of Pakistan. It will provide an opportunity to the talented students to participate and strive to become a star while representing prestigious institution. This competition is conceptualized and is being produced by BBCL (Pvt) Ltd. Judges will include Hadiqa Kiani, Nizar lalani, Salamat Ali.
