Arif Lohar Will Also Sing For Indian Films

Arif Lohar is one of the most famous Pakistani folk singer. It has been reported that he will now start singing across the border for Indian films too. Already he is known in India for his folk music, now he will get a chance of being recognized even more so. He received offers for singing again when he visited India recently. He is hopeful that he will make his mark and has accepted these offers.

Getting offers from India to sing for their films is nothing new for Pakistani musicians. Arif Lohar is no different. He has been receiving offers to sing for the past 12 years, but up till now he has not accepted a single one of them. Now, for some reason he has changed his mind. Music has no language and no boundaries, and the musical cultures of both India and Pakistan are similar and diverse. (more…)

Video: Atif Aslam pushing a fan in Expo Center, Lahore Concert

Well, there was so much hype regarding a concert that recently took place in Lahore last weekend. The mega event was organized by Octave Entertainment and it was one of its own kind of event that happened in Lahore in recent years. The musicians who performed LIVE there were: Arif Lohar, Raga Boyz, Shazia Manzoor, Annie and Falak. While the one celebrity who literally attracted thousands of Lahoris, was none other than Atif Aslam.

Aslam, who was performing after a long time in a public concert in his town, was seen in very casual looks. Wearing not a corporate, branded or decent wardrobe (as he used to wear in major events) but rather a black sleeve-less TEE, he was definitely looking very ‘different’ that night. Coke Studio – Season Three:

The third installment of Coke Studio was aired in between the summers of June and August 2010. Five episodes were aired in the third season and they were entitled Reason, Will, Conception, Form and Realisation. As a series of Priority Night concerts, sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank, another event was held in Lahore featuring Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Saeen Zahoor and Arif Lohar. The top performers of the country performed at a private event place, along with the 22 persons orchestra. The Priority Night is directed by Shahi Hasan of Vital Signs.

Arif Lohar’s Jugni now featured in Syed Noor’s Film as ‘Dam Gutkoon’

Arif Lohar Jugni Featured in Syed Noor Film as Dum GutkoonThe most popular track of Coke Studio Season3 – Jugni by Arif Lohar and Meesha Shafi – has now been featured in Syed Noor’s new punjabi movie ‘Jugni Nachdi Ae’  as ‘Dam Gutkoon’.

This recent development has just come into our attention after we randomly reached a Youtube video. As per the video title , Arif Lohar along with Nooran Lal has sung this different version track ‘Dam Gutkoon’ for an upcoming punjabi movie ‘Jugni Nachdi Ae’ directed by Syed Noor. The movie cast includes all old champs: Shaan, Saima and Moammar Rana. Whereas Arif Lohar can also be watched dancing with Saima on his own track. (more…)
