The three distinct juries that debated and voted for the TV, Music and Fashion nominations had an intensive and challenging task to narrow down to five nominations per category.

The Film Jury refrained from suggesting any 2012 release for nomination this year.

The eight TV nominations were divided into satellite and terrestrial for the Best Serial, Best Actor/Actresses categories. The final winner for each of these categories is decided by Viewer’s Choice votes while Nominees for Best Director and Writer Awards will be decided via Jury Votes. Hum Tv’s mega blockbuster hit Humsafar has a presence in all relevant categories as it is now eligible for inclusion this year as against 2011 as per the rules of the LUX Style Awards. The competition in all TV categories is expected to be intense.

Competition for the nine Fashion Categories was tough and challenging. The Jury, made up of Fashion Editors and journalists across Pakistan voted for top five in each category. Fashion’s new vibrancy is gauged most by the entry of so many new practitioners in the Emerging Talent category. The other categories reflected the state of the industry with its blend of entrenched old guard still exciting with new ideas and the push up by vibrant new talent to edge them out and gain a foothold in the big design, styling and photography categories.

The LUX Style Awards for excellence in the field of Entertainment and Fashion in Pakistan are held annually and aired throughout the country on several national channels.

LUX STYLE AWARDS NOMINATIONS 2013

FILM NOMINATIONS

No film nomination in any category for 2012

TELEVISION NOMINATIONS

Best TV Play (Satellite)

Humsafar on Hum TV (Producer Momina Duraid)

Maat on Hum TV (Producer Amna Nawaz Khan)

Manjali on Geo Entertainment (Producer Humayun Saeed & class="StrictlyAutoTagAnchor" title="View all articles about Hum TV here" href="http://www.pakium.com/tag/hum-tv">Hum TV yet stands alone to that prime position to sell Pakistani drama rights to Indian television. Rishtey TV aired the first episode of Humsafar back on saturday. We have seen critics, showbiz personalities, anchors along with general public arguing to stop airing the foreign content on the Pakistani channels, and to promote Pakistan‘s own Showbiz indsutry. class="StrictlyAutoTagBold">Fawad Khan is not finished yet. It would not be wrong to say that Fawad is now shinning even more than before.

Recently, Fawad Khan is appeared in a new Qmobile TVC and to say the least he looks super hot in it. Already a heart throb of Millions girls, his new super sexy and lavish image shown in new TVC is surely gonna catch many eye balls.

Fawad who started his acting career with a Bond character(in a comedy sitcom Jutt and Bond), now looks totally deserved for such kind of fictional and lavish roles. In the new TVC, he can be seen adopting the technology, driving a sports car and an electric boat. That’s just not all, the concept of playing Golf on the top of buildings was something to look again and again.

The voice over for the TVC is done by VJ Faizan and it certainly takes Fawad’s personality to another level. Let us say, if there would be ANY super hero movie planned in Pakistan, Fawad Khan should be the first priority for that sort of production. What do you guys say?
<div

The man never gets old. The Bollywood stardom of Pakistan’s singer-turned-actor expanded with his films such as Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and London, Paris, New York but one can never forget the roots and that is exactly what brought the bright young star to singing as he recently did the title song for a television drama, ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai.’ Thanks to consistent drama promos running on TV, the Drama OST sung by Ali Zafar is making huge waves.

<a

None other than the star of Humsafar i.e. Fawad Afzal Khan. Initially starting out as a musician as the lead vocalist of commercial rock band Entity Paradigm, Fawad rose to fame with Shoaib Mansoor’s ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ and that was just a mere start of the heavy success the talent came across because of his acting skills.

Also sung by Hadiqa Kiyani, the song is a classy example of how excelling is Pakistani in pop music. Commencing from the 30th of November, the drama serial is expected to be an enchanting one as alongside Fawad Afzal Khan, the cast includes Mehreen Raheel, Ayesha Omar and Sanam Saeed. The show is directed by Sultana Siddiqui and written by Umera Ahmed.

This post, <a
