The album has been launched under the prestigious title of American Music Company, which is released in more then 8 countries at a time. The album features twelve songs all of which are recorded in Karachi. The album’s launch ceremony was held both in Mumbai and Karachi at the same time. For the publicity of his album, Ali performed for intellectually disabled children on Pakistan Day. Over 200 special children attended the concert which took place at the Karachi Vocational Training Centre for Intellectually Challenged people, a cause the veteran pop singer has supported throughout his career.

The album is different in a sense that songs are made for all age groups. For the ease of Ali’s fans, the cloud based version of the album has been released too. Purani Jeans fame singer had launched a sufi album named “Kee Jana Mein Kaun”, back in last June.

This would be the very first album in which Goher Mumtaz will take charge as full time lead vocalist. Since its inception, the Band has been very unfortunate with its vocalists. First, it was Atif Aslam who left it after the massive hit single “Aadat” and most recently it was Farhan Saeed who decided to go solo after the stagnant position of the band in the recent years. Both the ex lead vocalists of Jal Band now enjoy good fame, but the same can’t be said for the band that actually gave birth to them.

Her next album will feature eight songs and three singles.“We wanted the album to have a certain direction,” states Rizvi regarding her upcoming album. “The sound falls more in the Sufi-folk genre but it also has a bit of a filmy touch to it.” Komal Rizvi aims to experiment on the music which is of her liking. “At the end of the day, music is something which is very personal and I feel everyone has their own preferences,” says the talented singer.

“This will actually reflect in every song of my album and all I can say is that, it’s from the heart.” Komal Rizvi describes her next album as an opportunity for the fans to know her better as few of the songs will be exposing her individuality as she reveals, “It’s not necessarily serious music. Some of the songs are and some aren’t — they show different shades of me.”

Due to their working schedules being full the album had not been recorded earlier, but now the work on it has started. When Katrina was asked to comment on taking up singing, she did not say much and preferred to evade the question, while Ali Zafar said:

Ali Zafar is also currently filming a remake of Chashme Buddoor. His new Bollywood film London, Paris, New York has been scrutinized by the censor board and will finally be released on March 2.

Sajid and Zeeshan made a great strive with their single ‘King of self’ which won the award for ‘best foreign language song’ in second Lux style awards. After a long break they made comeback with their second song ‘Walk on air’.

The band is now looking forward to tour abroad to get large fan following after their first album is released. Their second album ‘Harvest’ is a mixture of memories and all that songs it includes focus more on ‘life’. The album keeps all the political matters away and is totally free from questions.

On this delaying of their album, their producer quipped “We have been sort of unfair to our fans and followers since it has been a while since we last released an album, However, I think people who have been following us will see that this album is worth the wait”.

Aslam had been delaying his own album due to his ever busy schedule. He was touring the whole world around, singing the songs for bollywood movies and was also busy with a Peace project by Sonic Peace Makers. Other than these ventures, his debut movie BOL was also in pipeline in which he was doing his acting debut. Today, the famous singer revealed the news to Times of India.

Atif Aslam told TOI:

“I will be visiting India next month in month of may for the release of my debut movie. Meanwhile, I’m also working on my new album, which will be released by this year. Its been a long time I haven’t visited India and I’m hoping to be there soon.”

The ex-lead vocalist of the band Overload and Coke Studio’s Jugni Jee fame singer Meesha Shafi is all set to complete and release her own album – a debut music album!

Revealing the news to the media, Meesha Shafi (original name: Meera Shafi) & Mehmood Rehman(also former Lead Guitarist of Overload) told that she along with her husband Mahmood Rehman is working on her new album which will be out hopefully by the end of this year 2011.

Mehmood Rahman on the occasion said ‘I am planning to do a recent project – Meesha’s album – which will be out later this year and hopefully our listeners will get to hear something new in it’

The female singer, who just departed from a band overload, quite optimistically said,  ‘I am all wired and ready to go as far as making new music is concerned.  My husband who is a talented young musician is producing my album and we are working on some wonderful new stuff’.

When Meesha was asked What are you trying to do with your new album? She told, “The idea is to Bring both the things together:  to make a commercial product which is popular and can get to the masses ; and is also high quality, as far as audio, content and lyrics are concerned.” Meesha also hoped that people will really like her new album.
