Yes! It is official that the Most Famous Drummer of Pakistan John Louis Pinto II a.k.a Gumby wont be seen in the next season of Coke Studio. He is replaced by another Famous Drummer ‘Farhad Humayun’ who is also the founding member & Drummer of Overload.

Right now there is no news if Overload itself is in the next season of Coke Studio but according to our sources there are pretty good musicians in the upcoming season of Coke Studio. Lets just keep our fingers crossed and wait for more exciting news.

Based on the Google analytics report I checked today, Pakium dot com has fetched over 56% increase in its traffic in last 30 days. *Wuhoo* I screamed in joy today as it was quite unexpected, due to drastic things we faced last month in the form of Disabled Google Adsense Account and Google Panda’s worst effects.

It is the matter of joy for not only me, but for all the fans of Pakium dot com out there, without whom we couldn’t achieve all this growth and off course 100,000+ unique visitors/month mark for the very first time(and mind it they are ‘targeted’ traffic and not general awaam) (more…)

Since we have not much events to celebrate, we don’t party much and hang out most of the time due to our dynamic job nature, so this is kinda great news for us as we have achieved today 25000 fans on our beloved Facebook Page. And there is no good medium than this blog to celebrate this.

Let me tell you, getting this much targeted audience wasn’t easy at all.  We love the part that these fans found us, ‘Liked’ us and supported us through out. We didn’t market the page at all, didn’t advertise on ad networks to get instant fans and this is why we have all organic and like minded fans. Without their support, Pakium couldn’t achieve this much success. You guys must be saying what the formal things I am writing , but trust me this matters the most for us, at least for me. At times, we were wrong, posted not-so-authentic news , promoted not so good artists but our fans enlightened us, encouraged us and indeed helped us understand what should be done and what shouldn’t be done at all.

25000 fans only , so what ???

Many would be thinking why so much buzz on reaching just 25k fans, there are pages with 300k fans and they are growing at much faster pace, you are kiddies and left behind. So we believe and say respectfully that we only have those 25k who support Pakistan Entertainment Industry and want it to grow and see ruling the world. (more…)

Beta Version Of PakiUM V6

So finally after 17 hectic days of tension and bearing loss of not having a single traffic, I observed some good progress today and felt really good after sorting out some major obstacles in applying the new theme and bringing up with some new features on PakiUM.com.

I was hell confused or may be you can say so much ‘desperate’ or ‘perfectionist’ about my product that I couldn’t satisfy my needs completely(in beta version of this theme), let alone my site visitors’ expectations. I was failing again and again in developing this version. In these 17 days starting from the New Year Night, when I turned off the site , I have literally tried 7 wordpress themes and during this process I surfed several hundred even thousands web-pages for looking up a suitable theme for this new version of PakiUM. First of all, We want to make clear that MUSIC SUBMISSION is FREE on PakiUM. But that doesn’t mean every Tom, Dick & Harry will record his track in his home pc and we will put that Up.

Those who are mis-guided & getting negative image of pakium , should understand that there are some factors or say criteria that must be met to appear your stuff on our website. If someone doesn’t meet our criteria we WON’T promote it,  that’s it! Over the years , we have promoted Almost 400 Pakistani Underground Bands & Artists now we are looking for qualitative musicians to Promote.
