Lead Vocalist of Siege the band, Junaid Yunus has said that Siege is trying to arrange a very level concert to help the flood affectees of recent rain-floods.

He said that it will be with the permission of Prime Minister of Pakistan and he hopes the PM to do the opening for the concert. Junaid further revealed that ‘14 August Committee‘ of Norway is collaborating with them to have this concert arranged. Junaid has requested the President of Red Cross to also participate in the concert.

Pakistani film star and controversial media personality Veena Malik has recently done a photoshoot for PETA (People for ethical Treatment of Animals) magazine in which she stressed that all the people should turn vegetarian. The statement on the front page of the magazine says, ‘I am Veena Malik and I am vegetrian’.

Pakistani fashion and music icon Meesha Shafi will appear in a Hollywood flick ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. The movie will be directed by Mira Nair, who is an Indian movie director and producer based in New York, USA.

Meesha will star alongside Hollywood actors Kate Hudson, Liev Schreiber and Kiefer Sutherland. While accompanying Meesha in the project from Bollywood, there will be Shabana Aazmi and Om Puri. Other cast for the movie includes Nelsan Ellis, Martin Donovan and Haluk Bilginer. (more…)

Peshawar – the land of hospitality – has produced a fine number of new aspiring musicians, among them there is Sajid and Zeeshan, Irfan Khan, Ismail and Junaid, Yasir and Jawad and many others.

Among this fine breed of musicians, there is one name that is very famous on the roads and in the Underground Scene of Peshawar, and that is Farhan Bogra. Farhan Bogra is the guy who actually has played a very substantial hand in the promotion of Rubab in the Underground, National and even international music scene. He is the one who has played Rubab in Qarar by Ismail and Junaid. He has also played Rubab for a Japanese band Rain in Eden.

Rubab is also known as the “lion of the instruments”, and Bogra has on it profile the credit to play the first ever Rubab Rock song (Rubkin) in the history.
