Waar 2 finishes 20 days shooting at K2 base camp

Earlier, we reported that Bilal Lashari won’t be directing the sequal of Waar, the biggest Pakistani blockbuster movie. The report was proven right and now it has been revvealed that Waar’s producer Hassan Waqas Rana has himself taken over the director’s seat and shot some of the scenes of Waar 2 at the base camp of K2 mountain, reported Express Tribune. The news is BIG ! Pakistani Rock band Call has announced to reunite after three long years. Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Xulfi announced the news on his Facebook profile. “We are back to make music again, to perform for you again, to follow our dreams and to make you a part of our journey, once again,” announces Xulfi. Movie Review: Shah set to get standing ovations in every show !

After almost forty years, three Pakistani movies are going to release on Pakistan’s Independence Day (today). Moor by veteran video director Jami, Dekh Magar Pyaar Say by Asad ul Haq, who is also a well known face and Shah by Adnan Sarwar, a formula one racer turned musician and now a movie producer, director and actor. The experience of former two directors made it difficult for Shah to create much hype and expectation before release but guess what, the movie succeeded to get standing ovation in just twenty minutes of the first half during its premiere in Karachi.

Bollywood movies have been doing good business in Pakistan for a long time. Some of them have even crossed Rs 25 crores land mark on box office, which not a single Pakistani movie has touched at home yet. The success formula seems quite simple, cast big names of your industry, choose an emotional subject or add some masala, and before you decide to release your film, release an item number to create some hype. For a practical, may be, a few of the recently released Pakistani movies have successfully tried this formula but Jami’s production debut movie Moor has totally refused it and rather touched an unpopular subject with a mixture of mostly new cast along with some forgotten faces. The fate of the Moor will be decided on this Independence Day but thumbs up to whole team and particularly to Jami for bringing our attention towards a forgotten issue and showing some extremely breathtaking visuals from Baluchistan. Sarmad Khoosat’s Manto set to release in September

The well acclaimed drama director Sarmad Khoosat is set to make his big screen directorial debut with biopic of controversial Urdu writer Saadat Hussain Manto. The movie stars Sarmad Khoosat as Manto, Sania Saeed as his wife and Saba Qamar as Noor Jehan in leading roles while Mahira Khan, Humayoun Saeed, Savera Pasha, and Faisal Qureshi will also do cameo roles. Is Karan Johar behind Fawad Khan’s career decisions?

Just a couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Pakistani star Fawad Khan has left Battle for Bittora, a Bollywood movie he signed against Khoobsurat’s co-star Sonam Kapoor. It was revealed that Fawad rejected the movie because of weak script but now, an Indian website BollywoodLife has exclusively broken the news that Karan Johar is the actual reason behind Fawad’s decisions.
