Just a couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Pakistani star Fawad Khan has left Battle for Bittora, a Bollywood movie he signed against Khoobsurat’s co-star Sonam Kapoor. It was revealed that Fawad rejected the movie because of weak script but now, an Indian website BollywoodLife has exclusively broken the news that Karan Johar is the actual reason behind Fawad’s decisions. ‘Sing a Song – Save a Life’ brings big success for Aima Baig

Aima Baig, an amateur singer, performed with Mubasher Lucman for the campaign “Sing a Song – Save a Life” which aims to raise funds for cancer patients at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital. Baig’s recent efforts primarily stem from the fact that her mother is a cancer patient and she hopes to do right by other patients who cannot afford treatment. (more…)

HUM TV has finally premiered its most awaited movie Bin Roye, featuring the gorgeous Mahira Khan as Saba, Humayun Saeed as Irtiza and Pakistani-Canadian actress Armeena Rana Khan as Saman. Mahira, who had given two years of her life to this movie, has shown great acting skills, especially during emotional scenes after the interval. Humayun, though looks a little older, but is not a bad choice for those who have read Farhat Istiaq’s novel. As for new-comer Armeena Rana, she did justice with her supporting role in the movie. The movie is a pure family drama with romance, some suspense and many emotions. It is about Saba’s lost love, regrets, and reunion with Irtiza. (more…)

There is nothing to prove that the legendary Sabri Brothers had originally sung the famous Qawali “Bhar Do Jholi Meri,” at the peak of their career. This Qawwali was famous in Pakistan as well as in India, from where they migrated after partition in 1947. Now, when none of the Sabri Brothers is alive, Amjad Sabri, the son of Ghulam Faird Sabri, claims to inherit the rights of their compositions and set to take legal action against Adnan Sami Khan for singing without his permission. Some of the big names in Pakistan entertainment industry, Shaan Shahid, Faisal Qureshi and Yasir Nawaz have shown reservations against the release of Indian movies in Pakistan. The recent reaction has come after the trailer of Salman Khan’s upcoming Bollywood movie “Bajrani Bhaijan” went on-air.
